"భగవంతుని దర్శించే మార్గం చెప్పండి స్వామీ " అని అడిగాడు ఒక శిష్యుడు గురువుగారిని.
గురువు అతణ్ని ఒక చెరువులోకి దింపి అతని తలను నీళ్ళలో అదిమి పెట్టి కాసేపు ఉంచాడు.
తర్వాత తల పైకి ఎత్తిన శిష్యుని "ఎలా ఉంది? " అని అడిగాడు.
" ఊపిరాడలేదు స్వామి, చనిపోతాననిపించింది. "అన్నాడు శిష్యుడు.
" నువ్వు ఊపిరి తీసుకోవడానికి ఎంత తపించావో, భగవంతుని దర్శనం కోసం అంత తపించు! అప్పుడు కనిపిస్తాడు " అన్నాడు గురువు.
